Use LOCATE<strong>VM</strong> to search for certain data in your virtual machine’s storage.<br />

lo.len<br />

specifies the address of the beginning of the search area <strong>and</strong> the number of<br />

bytes to its end. lo <strong>and</strong> len must both be hexadecimal numbers. You must enter<br />

a period between these two values.<br />

lo hi<br />

lo-hi<br />

specifies the addresses for the beginning <strong>and</strong> end of the search area. lo <strong>and</strong> hi<br />

must both be hexadecimal numbers.<br />

lo, len, <strong>and</strong> hi can be a one to sixteen hexadecimal digit 64-bit address,<br />

separated with an optional underscore for readability.<br />

lo.END<br />

lo END<br />

lo-END<br />

specifies the address of the beginning of the search area <strong>and</strong> tells <strong>CP</strong> to search<br />

through to the end of the available storage. lo is a hexadecimal number. You<br />

may use any of the above formats.<br />

CASE<br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> to convert the data you enter to upper case before it is compared to<br />

the data in storage.<br />

Note: Unless you are using DIAGNOSE code X'08' to send comm<strong>and</strong>s to <strong>CP</strong><br />

in mixed case, <strong>CP</strong> converts comm<strong>and</strong>s entered from the terminal to<br />
