Use HOLD LOGON to prevent a user from accessing the host system.<br />

userid<br />

identifies the user you want to prevent accessing the host system. The user<br />

need not be logged on.<br />

LOGon<br />

prevents the specified user logging on the host system.<br />

1. Use the FREE comm<strong>and</strong> to release a user from logon hold status.<br />

2. The HOLD LOGON comm<strong>and</strong> is not allowed for the user ID defined as the<br />

primary system operator on the SYSTEM_USERIDS statement in the system<br />

configuration file.<br />

Note: If a primary system operator user ID is not specified, the default is<br />

OPERATOR.<br />

3. A maximum of 32 users can be put into hold at any one time.<br />
