Use DUMP LKS to dump the state entries of the guest linkage stack.<br />

DUMP LKS<br />

vaddr<br />

dumps the branch or program-call linkage-stack state entry that contains the<br />

specified guest virtual address within the current home address space<br />

designated by guest control register 13. The default is the current linkage-stack<br />

state entry pointed to by guest control register 15.<br />

n is a decimal number, up to eight digits, specifying the number of branch <strong>and</strong><br />

program-call linkage-stack state entries to be dumped. The dump starts with the<br />

specified/current entry <strong>and</strong> moves back toward the first entry on the<br />

linkage-stack. The default is 1, <strong>and</strong> 0 is treated as 1.<br />

*dumpid<br />

is an asterisk followed by a 1-character to 97-character identifier that is to be<br />

assigned to the dump (may be truncated to 80 characters for a z/Architecture<br />

guest). If specified, *dumpid must be the last oper<strong>and</strong> you enter on the<br />

comm<strong>and</strong> line.<br />

1. This comm<strong>and</strong> is valid only if the virtual machine is an ESA virtual machine.<br />

2. The first linkage-stack state entry is the oldest state entry (the first one put on<br />

the stack). The last linkage-stack state entry is the current state entry (the most<br />

recent one put on the stack).<br />

3. Unlike other DUMP comm<strong>and</strong> oper<strong>and</strong>s, using LKS does not define the default<br />

for subsequent oper<strong>and</strong>s of the current DUMP function.<br />

4. The virtual address specified in vaddr must fall within the branch or program-call<br />

linkage-stack state entry, including the first <strong>and</strong> last bytes of the linkage-stack<br />

state entry.<br />

5. A linkage-stack state entry is an entry on the linkage stack that describes the<br />

environment in an address space (such as access registers, general-purpose<br />

registers <strong>and</strong> PSWs).<br />
