Use DETACH CRYPTO to remove the Integrated Cryptographic Facility (ICRF) from<br />

one-or-more virtual <strong>CP</strong>Us in your virtual machine configuration.<br />

CRYPto<br />

detaches the virtual ICRFs from the virtual <strong>CP</strong>Us with the virtual <strong>CP</strong>U<br />

addresses specified. Multiple addresses may be specified in the form of a list of<br />

single numbers or ranges. The addresses may be any value from 0 to 3F,<br />

providing a <strong>CP</strong>U with the same address has been defined.<br />

ALL<br />

specifies all virtual ICRFs currently defined.<br />

nn is a single virtual <strong>CP</strong>U address in hexadecimal.<br />

nn1-nn2<br />

is a nonwrapping pair of virtual <strong>CP</strong>U addresses in hexadecimal separated by a<br />

hyphen <strong>and</strong> not separated by any blanks.<br />

1. The virtual ICRF is also removed if its associated virtual <strong>CP</strong>U is detached.<br />

2. If the virtual <strong>CP</strong>U is dedicated, the real processor is not undedicated by the<br />

DETACH CRYPTO comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

3. SET IMSG OFF suppresses informational messages for this comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

To detach the virtual ICRF from <strong>CP</strong>U 1, enter:<br />

DETACH CRYPTO 1<br />

To detach the virtual ICRFs from <strong>CP</strong>Us 0, 2, <strong>and</strong> 3, enter:<br />

DETACH CRYPTO 0 2-3<br />

Response 1:<br />

Crypto Facility nn detached<br />

DETACH CRYPTO<br />

nn is the virtual <strong>CP</strong>U address from which the virtual ICRF has been detached.<br />
