Use the DETACH CFLINK command to detach links between coupling facilities.
msgprocid1
is the user ID of the sending coupling facility virtual machine.
msgprocid2
is the user ID of the receiving coupling facility virtual machine.
ALL
specifies that all links, where msgprocid1 is the sender and msgprocid2 is the
receiver, should be deleted.
CHPID chpid
specifies that only the link from msgprocid1 to msgprocid2 that is known to
msgprocid2 (the receiver) through channel path ID chpid should be deleted.
1. A class G only user must be coupled to both the sending and receiving coupling
facilities.
2. If you detach a coupling facility link, all message devices that were created in
the sender when that link was created are also deleted.
CFVM1 and CFVM2 are connected as follows:
v In CFVM1, channel path ID E0 (devices 400 and 401) leads to channel path ID
F0 in CFVM2.
v In CFVM1, channel path ID A0 (devices 800 and 801) leads to channel path ID
B0 in CFVM2.
To detach all links, enter the following:
detach cflink cfvm1 cfvm2
To detach just the first link, enter the following:
detach cflink cfvm1 cfvm2 chpid f0
(This also results in devices 400 and 401 being deleted in CFVM1.)
To detach just the second link, enter the following:
detach cflink cfvm1 cfvm2 chpid b0
