chpid<br />

Use the DETACH CFLINK comm<strong>and</strong> to detach links between coupling facilities.<br />

msgprocid1<br />

is the user ID of the sending coupling facility virtual machine.<br />

msgprocid2<br />

is the user ID of the receiving coupling facility virtual machine.<br />

ALL<br />

specifies that all links, where msgprocid1 is the sender <strong>and</strong> msgprocid2 is the<br />

receiver, should be deleted.<br />

CHPID chpid<br />

specifies that only the link from msgprocid1 to msgprocid2 that is known to<br />

msgprocid2 (the receiver) through channel path ID chpid should be deleted.<br />

1. A class G only user must be coupled to both the sending <strong>and</strong> receiving coupling<br />

facilities.<br />

2. If you detach a coupling facility link, all message devices that were created in<br />

the sender when that link was created are also deleted.<br />

CF<strong>VM</strong>1 <strong>and</strong> CF<strong>VM</strong>2 are connected as follows:<br />

v In CF<strong>VM</strong>1, channel path ID E0 (devices 400 <strong>and</strong> 401) leads to channel path ID<br />

F0 in CF<strong>VM</strong>2.<br />

v In CF<strong>VM</strong>1, channel path ID A0 (devices 800 <strong>and</strong> 801) leads to channel path ID<br />

B0 in CF<strong>VM</strong>2.<br />

To detach all links, enter the following:<br />

detach cflink cfvm1 cfvm2<br />

To detach just the first link, enter the following:<br />

detach cflink cfvm1 cfvm2 chpid f0<br />

(This also results in devices 400 <strong>and</strong> 401 being deleted in CF<strong>VM</strong>1.)<br />

To detach just the second link, enter the following:<br />

detach cflink cfvm1 cfvm2 chpid b0<br />
