The set location counter control statement sets the next CSECT at an absolute<br />

address.<br />

Where:<br />

X'02'<br />

must appear in column 1.<br />

SLC<br />

is the set location counter acronym.<br />

nnnnnnnn<br />

is the absolute address in hexadecimal.<br />

Note: Only one argument may appear on the statement.<br />

Usage Notes:<br />

1. Module H<strong>CP</strong>SYS uses the set location counter control statement to set the base<br />

address of the <strong>CP</strong> nucleus.<br />

2. CMS uses the set location counter control statement to set the transient <strong>and</strong><br />

user areas.<br />

Padding Control Statement<br />

The padding control statement fills all unspecified locations in a CSECT with a<br />

specified value.<br />

Format:<br />

X'02' PAD nn<br />

Where:<br />

X'02'<br />

must appear in column 1.<br />

PAD<br />

is the padding control statement acronym.<br />

nn is the fill character in hexadecimal. The initial value is 0.<br />
