VALIDATE<br />

Use OVERRIDE to write a new user-defined privilege class to a system data file<br />

<strong>and</strong>, optionally, to activate the new structure.<br />

fn identifies the file name of your CMS class file. CLASS is the default file name.<br />

ft identifies the file type of your CMS class file. OVERRIDE is the default file type.<br />

fm<br />

* identifies the file mode of your CMS class file. The default file mode is *.<br />

DEFER<br />

causes your CMS class file to be written to a system data file. The privilege<br />

class structure defined in the file becomes active at the next system IPL. This is<br />

the default.<br />

IMMEDIATE<br />

causes your CMS class file to be written to a system data file, <strong>and</strong> causes the<br />

privilege class structure defined in the file to become active immediately, along<br />

with any changes that were previously in effect. The system data file that is<br />

created will replace any existing system data file.<br />

EDIT<br />

VALIDATE<br />

specifies that the statements in your CMS class file are to be inspected for<br />

correctness, but overrides are not written to the system data file. If an error is<br />

detected, the statement in error is displayed <strong>and</strong> you are informed about the<br />

error.<br />

CLEAR<br />

FREE<br />

causes all system data files containing override data to be purged. This causes<br />

the <strong>IBM</strong>-defined privilege class structure to become active at the next system<br />

IPL.<br />
