Use XSPOOL REMOVE to delete copy spool file blocks for the files owned by a<br />

system that terminated abnormally <strong>and</strong> when the failed system is not expected to<br />

rejoin the cross system extension (CSE) complex for a significant period of time.<br />

Note: Enter this comm<strong>and</strong> on the other systems in the complex.<br />

XSPOOL REMOVE<br />

ALL<br />

deletes all copy spool file blocks owned by system sysname from the system<br />

the comm<strong>and</strong> is run on.<br />

identifies the queue from which copy spool file blocks owned by system<br />

sysname are to be deleted.<br />

sysname<br />

specifies the system in the CSE complex that owns the original spool file blocks<br />

corresponding to the copy spool file blocks to be deleted. This system must not<br />

be operating in the CSE complex.<br />

1. The XSPOOL REMOVE comm<strong>and</strong> deletes:<br />

v An entire queue of copy spool file blocks<br />

v All copy spool file blocks owned by system sysname.<br />

2. This comm<strong>and</strong> removes the copy spool file blocks that are owned by the system<br />

that is down. This frees <strong>CP</strong> storage space <strong>and</strong> assures that spool IDs are<br />

available when the system comes back up.<br />

3. Use this comm<strong>and</strong> with the XSPOOL UNLOCK comm<strong>and</strong> described on page<br />

1760. Always enter the XSPOOL REMOVE comm<strong>and</strong> before you enter<br />

XSPOOL UNLOCK.<br />
