CLass classlist<br />

CLass *<br />

selects files with any of the specified classes. You can specify from one to eight<br />

classes (single alphanumeric characters with no intervening blanks).<br />

For system data files, only certain classes are valid for each type of file. For<br />

information about system data file classes, see the z/<strong>VM</strong>: <strong>CP</strong> Planning <strong>and</strong><br />

Administration.<br />

If you specify an asterisk (*) for the class list, or if you omit this entire oper<strong>and</strong>,<br />

files are scanned regardless of class.<br />

DEST dest<br />

selects files with the specified destination value, which may be from one to<br />

eight characters. If you omit this oper<strong>and</strong>, files are scanned regardless of<br />

destination value.<br />

FORM form<br />

FORM *<br />

selects files with the specified operator form name, which may be from one to<br />

eight characters. If you specify an asterisk (*) for the name, or if you omit this<br />

entire oper<strong>and</strong>, files are scanned regardless of form name.<br />

FN fnpattern<br />

selects files that match the specified file name search pattern. The pattern may<br />

be a complete file name or a character string containing wild cards. For<br />

information savet using wild cards, see Usage Note 1 on page 1508. You<br />

cannot use this oper<strong>and</strong> to select only files that have no file name (whose file<br />

name field contains only blanks). If you omit this oper<strong>and</strong>, files are scanned<br />

regardless of file name (including those with no file name).<br />

FT ftpattern<br />

selects files that match the specified file type search pattern. The pattern may<br />

be a complete file type or a character string containing wild cards. For<br />

information about using wild cards, see Usage Note 1 on page 1508. You<br />

cannot use this oper<strong>and</strong> to select only files that have no file type (whose file<br />

type field contains only blanks). If you omit this oper<strong>and</strong>, files are scanned<br />

regardless of file type (including those with no file type).<br />

SYSHold<br />

selects system-held files. If you specify SYSHOLD but not USERHOLD or<br />

NOHOLD, only system-held files are scanned (which includes any file that is<br />

both system-held <strong>and</strong> user-held). If you do not specify SYSHOLD, USERHOLD,<br />

or NOHOLD, files are scanned regardless of hold status.<br />

USERHold<br />

selects user-held files. If you specify USERHOLD but not SYSHOLD or<br />

NOHOLD, only user-held files are scanned (which includes any file that is both<br />

user-held <strong>and</strong> system-held). If you do not specify USERHOLD, SYSHOLD, or<br />

NOHOLD, files are scanned regardless of hold status.<br />

NOHold<br />

selects files that are not held. If you specify NOHOLD but not SYSHOLD or<br />

USERHOLD, only files that are not held are scanned. If you do not specify<br />

NOHOLD, SYSHOLD, or USERHOLD, files are scanned regardless of hold<br />

status.<br />
