1. When the signal times out or the user machine indicates that it has terminated<br />

operation, it is logged off if it has been disconnected.<br />

2. If neither the WITHIN nor BY option is specified, <strong>and</strong> if the default signal<br />

timeout interval is set, it is used as the timeout interval. For additional<br />

information about this behavior, see “SET SIGNAL” on page 1388.<br />
