SHUTDOWN<br />

indicates that a termination signal is to be sent.<br />

identifies the user to be signaled. Use the keyword USER when you specify a<br />

user ID of ″all″. This oper<strong>and</strong> is valid for users with privilege class A <strong>and</strong> C only.<br />

ALL<br />

indicates that all users who are enabled to receive termination signals should<br />

be signaled. This oper<strong>and</strong> is valid for users with privilege class A <strong>and</strong> C only.<br />

WITHIN interval<br />

sends the user a shutdown signal that times out when the specified interval (in<br />

seconds) elapses. The interval may range from 1 to 32767 seconds.<br />

BY time<br />

sends the user a shutdown signal that times out when the designated time<br />

(specified as hh:mm or hh:mm:ss) is reached.<br />
