Use DEFINE ALIAS to define a new alias for an existing <strong>CP</strong> comm<strong>and</strong> on the<br />

system.<br />

You can also define a new alias during initialization using the DEFINE ALIAS<br />

is the name of the alias that you are defining. The variable alias must be a 1- to<br />

12-character string.<br />

comm<strong>and</strong><br />

is the name of the existing <strong>CP</strong> comm<strong>and</strong> for which you are creating an alias.<br />

The variable comm<strong>and</strong> is a 1- to 12-character string.<br />

Query SUBCmd subcomm<strong>and</strong><br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> the name of the existing <strong>CP</strong> QUERY subcomm<strong>and</strong> for which you are<br />

creating an alias. The variable subcomm<strong>and</strong> is a 1- to 12-character string.<br />

Query Virtual SUBCmd subcomm<strong>and</strong><br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> the name of the existing <strong>CP</strong> QUERY VIRTUAL subcomm<strong>and</strong> for which<br />

you are creating an alias. The variable subcomm<strong>and</strong> is a 1- to 12-character<br />

string.<br />

Set SUBCmd subcomm<strong>and</strong><br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> the name of the existing <strong>CP</strong> SET subcomm<strong>and</strong> for which you are<br />

creating an alias. The variable subcomm<strong>and</strong> is a 1- to 12-character string.<br />
