Privilege Class: G
Use SET UNDERSCORE to control whether an underscore character is used to
separate 16-digit addresses for DISPLAY, DUMP, STORE, and TRACE commands
for your userid.
OFF
indicates that an underscore character will not be used to separate 16-digit
output.
ON
HCP003E Invalid operand - operand
indicates that an underscore character will be used to separate 16-digit output
into two 8-digit entities for readability.
1. UNDERSCORE is set OFF when you log on and is not changed until you issue
SET UNDERSCORE ON.
2. Use QUERY UNDERSCORE to determine the current setting.
3. An underscore character is always allowed on input when specifying 16–digit
values for the DISPLAY/DUMP/STORE and TRACE commands regardless of
the setting of the UNDERSCORE option. When specifying an underscore on
input, there must be exactly eight characters following the underscore.
SET UNDERSCORE ON followed by a DISPLAY/DUMP/STORE or TRACE
command would display a 16-digit value with an underscore separator.
For example, the output for ’D GG12’ would be formatted as follows:
GRG 12 = 00000000_0105E2F8
SET UNDERSCORE OFF followed by a DISPLAY/DUMP/STORE or TRACE
command would display a 16-digit value without an underscore
separator.
For example, the output for ’D GG12’ would be formatted as follows:
GRG 12 = 000000000105E2F8
