Use this SET RDEVICE comm<strong>and</strong> to tell <strong>CP</strong> that real card readers are at certain<br />

device addresses.<br />

rdev<br />

rdev1-rdev2<br />

specifies one or more real device numbers to be defined or changed. Each rdev<br />

specified must be a hexadecimal number between X'0000' <strong>and</strong> X'FFFF'. The<br />

maximum number of devices allowed within a range is 256.<br />

TYpe RDR<br />

TYpe READer<br />

specifies the type of device (card reader).<br />

CLass c<br />

specifies the spooling class that the card reader assigns to spool files it creates.<br />

(To change the spooling class the card reader assigns without having to re-IPL,<br />

use the <strong>CP</strong> START comm<strong>and</strong>.)<br />

You can specify CLASS in one of the following ways:<br />

v If you omit the CLASS oper<strong>and</strong> for unit record devices, class A is the default.<br />

v Enter CLASS c<br />

The spooling class, c, is one alphanumeric character.<br />

NO_SPOOLing<br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> not to use the unit record device for spooling.<br />

SENSed<br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> to use the information returned from a sense ID request to determine<br />

the characteristics of this card reader. If omitted, the default is SENSED.<br />

NOTSENSed<br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> not to use the information returned from a sense ID request to<br />

determine the characteristics of this card reader.<br />
