1. If you specify the same line number for start <strong>and</strong> end, <strong>CP</strong> displays only that line.<br />

2. <strong>CP</strong> limits the length of each output line to 130 characters.<br />

3. Before you can use the <strong>CP</strong>TYPE comm<strong>and</strong> to display selected lines of a file on<br />

a minidisk, someone must have already issued a <strong>CP</strong>ACCESS comm<strong>and</strong> or<br />

specified a <strong>CP</strong>_ACCESS statement to identify the minidisk to <strong>CP</strong>. Although you<br />

do not have to have a link to that minidisk, your virtual machine must be<br />

capable of establishing one without a password. For more information on the<br />

<strong>CP</strong>ACCESS comm<strong>and</strong>, see page “<strong>CP</strong>ACCESS” on page 79.For more<br />

information on the <strong>CP</strong>_ACCESS statement, see the z/<strong>VM</strong>: <strong>CP</strong> Planning <strong>and</strong><br />

4. To display a list of the minidisks that <strong>CP</strong> has access to, use the QUERY<br />

<strong>CP</strong>DISK comm<strong>and</strong>. For more information, see “QUERY <strong>CP</strong>DISKS” on page<br />

735.<br />

<strong>CP</strong> displays the file on your terminal screen according to the information you<br />

specify.<br />
