Use REWIND to rewind, but not unload, tape on a real tape drive.<br />

vdev<br />

is the virtual tape drive on which the tape is mounted.<br />

If the tape drive specified is in a given state, the issuer must be the user ID to<br />

whom the tape drive was given, or the comm<strong>and</strong> cannot process.<br />

Response 1:<br />

REWIND NOT PERFORMED<br />

is returned when the rewind operation is pending.<br />

Response 2:<br />

REWIND COMPLETE<br />

is returned when the rewind operation is complete.<br />

H<strong>CP</strong>006E Invalid device type - {rdev|vdev|ldev}<br />

H<strong>CP</strong>022E A virtual device number was not<br />

supplied or it was invalid.<br />

H<strong>CP</strong>040E Device {rdev|vdev|ldev} does not exist<br />
