Use QUERY <strong>VM</strong>LAN to determine the current status of <strong>VM</strong> LAN activity on the <strong>CP</strong><br />

system. The response indicates the current value of the system-wide <strong>VM</strong> LAN<br />

attributes, <strong>and</strong> the number of <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments <strong>and</strong> Virtual Switches currently<br />

defined in the system.<br />

Use the QUERY LAN comm<strong>and</strong> to obtain information about specific <strong>VM</strong> LAN<br />

segments. Use the QUERY VSWITCH comm<strong>and</strong> to obtain information about<br />

specific Virtual Switches.<br />

System-wide attributes for <strong>VM</strong> LAN or Virtual Switch support can be set using the<br />

<strong>VM</strong>LAN statement in the SYSTEM CONFIG file. For more information, see z/<strong>VM</strong>:<br />

<strong>CP</strong> Planning <strong>and</strong> Administration. These attributes can be changed during normal<br />

system operation by using the SET <strong>VM</strong>LAN comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />
