QUERY <strong>VM</strong>DUMP<br />

Response 1:<br />

<strong>VM</strong>DUMP NOCONT<br />

is returned when the virtual machine is not in continuous output mode for <strong>VM</strong>DUMP.<br />

Response 2:<br />

<strong>VM</strong>DUMP CONT<br />

is returned when the virtual machine is in continuous output mode for <strong>VM</strong>DUMP.<br />

Response 3:<br />

The following additional lines are returned for a QUERY <strong>VM</strong>DUMP or QUERY<br />

<strong>VM</strong>DUMP MAP comm<strong>and</strong> when an open output file exists (from one or more prior<br />

<strong>VM</strong>DUMP requests while in continuous output mode). The following second line is<br />

returned only if the dump has a dumpid:<br />

File spid <strong>VM</strong>DUMP filetype is open for output<br />

*dumpid<br />

spid<br />

identifies the spool file.<br />

filetype<br />

identifies the virtual machine type (filetype) supplied by the FORMAT oper<strong>and</strong> of<br />

the <strong>VM</strong>DUMP comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

*dumpid<br />

identifies the dump. It is preceded by an asterisk (*).<br />

For each address space in the dump, these lines are displayed:<br />

For ASIT asit<br />

SPACEID owner:space_name<br />

Format: format<br />

Dump identifier: *dumpid<br />

asit<br />

is the ASIT of the address space.<br />

owner:<br />

is the user ID that owns the address space.<br />

space_name<br />

is the name of the address space. The space name is a string of alphanumeric<br />

<strong>and</strong> national characters, 1 to 24 characters long.<br />

A header line <strong>and</strong> additional response lines are returned for a QUERY <strong>VM</strong>DUMP<br />

MAP comm<strong>and</strong> when an open output file exists. Each line maps from one to four<br />

address ranges.<br />

The <strong>VM</strong>DUMP address ranges are:<br />
