Use QUERY THROTTLE to display the devices being throttled <strong>and</strong> their I/O rates.<br />

ALL<br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> to display all the real devices that are being throttled, their I/O rates<br />

<strong>and</strong> any delays that have occurred for the given devices. ALL is the default.<br />

rdev<br />

rdev1-rdev2<br />

is the real device number or range of real device numbers for which you want<br />

I/O throttling information.<br />

1. To change I/O throttling on your system, use the SET THROTTLE comm<strong>and</strong><br />

(page 1403).<br />

Response 1:<br />

To display all of the real devices in the I/O throttling list <strong>and</strong> their current I/O rates,<br />

enter the following QUERY THROTTLE comm<strong>and</strong>:<br />

query throttle all<br />

I/O throttling is currently active. 2 device(s) are in the list<br />

Device 0701 has 6 delays. Rate is 1 I/Os per second<br />

Device 0702 has 0 delays. Rate is 2 I/Os per second<br />

Ready;<br />

Response 2:<br />

To query throttling of a specified device enter the following QUERY THROTTLE<br />

comm<strong>and</strong>:<br />

query throttle 702<br />
