Giraffes roam freely at Hans Merensky golf course
longest golf course! A natural terrain fairway, tee box and
green are featured at each hole. The course is a welcome
addition to the deserted highway, offering visitors a taste
of Australia and a fun activity.
The expansive
Jade Dragon Snow
Mountain golf club
Because of the thinness of the mountain air, the ball is
said to go 20 percent further when played at this altitude.
In addition, there are breathtaking panoramas of snowcovered
mountains from wherever you tee off.
And don’t forget to take some selfies with the "Naxi" (said
to be descendants of the ancient Qiang tribe) caddies in
their traditional garb for your Instagram feed!
Nullarbor Links, Australia
The idea of Nullarbor Links is one-of-a-kind. From
Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to Ceduna in South
Australia, the 1,365-kilometre-long 18-hole par-72 golf
course stretches along the Eyre Highway. It is the world’s
The concept of the Nullarbor Links was conceived to
supplement and improve the highway’s tourism sector
by giving visitors another reason to spend more time and
money in the area. With this concept, golf and tourism are
united. The course is a welcome addition to the highway,
which lacks leisure and entertainment options.
Hans Merensky Golf Course, South Africa
Hans Merensky is well-known as one of South Africa’s most
wildlife-rich golfing destinations. The course is a visual
marvel, and the giraffes, hippos, warthogs, impalas and
monkeys that live there give the game a safari vibe that is
rare to find elsewhere.
Located outside of Phalaborwa and adjacent to the Kruger
National Park, it is yet another delightful course to emerge
from Limpopo’s fertile soils. This championship course
was designed by the famous golf course architect Bob
Grimsdell, and it features his signature Par 72 challenges.
The course was given the Diamond Arrow Award for
having the highest rating in Limpopo and was named
the top walking course in South Africa. Both of these
accomplishments are quite remarkable feats when one
considers the level of competitiveness in the country.
