AUTOMATIC TISSUE PROCESSOR
FOR HISTOLOGICAL SAMPLES
Donatello ® Series 3
Advanced innovation and technology in tissue processing
SDSDT9000
Your unique and unrepeatable sample deserves best-in-class safety.
Tissue processing is a one-way process
where a number of chemicals steps
and physical conditions will irreversibly
determine the suitable processing of
the specimen for the morphological
(H&E), IHC and molecular analysis.
Diagnostic-therapeutic algorithms for the
selection of patients for targeted cancer
treatment include immunohistochemical
and molecular analysis of histological
specimens. That’s why the quality of FFPE
(Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded)
specimens processed is mandatory. The
Donatello ® Series 3 is especially designed
to preserve the integrity of proteins and
nucleic acids in biological tissue samples
suitable for diagnosis and evaluation of
biomarkers predictive of therapy response.
The system advantages
IMMUNOTHERAPY
Validated tissue processor
for the preservation of
immunohistochemical
expression of PD-L1. The
scientific publication
demonstrates, in a comparative
study, the interference of tissue
processing in the evaluation of
biomarkers useful in selecting
patients who are candidates for
immunotherapy.
VALIDATED BIOMARKERS
The integrated protocols
are validated by Diapath in
collaboration with reference
Hospitals, Laboratories and
Reserch Institutes.
These procedures are used
daily for diagnostic purposes,
immunohistochemistry,
in-situ hybridisation
and molecular biology
investigations in order to
identify predictive biomarkers
of target therapy response.
SAFE DIAGNOSIS
Donatello ® Series 3 is equipped
with E.V.A.+ (Emergency
eVoluted Alghorithm)
designed for advanced safety.
In the event of a mechanical
blockage, especially during
unmanned processing phases
such as overnight processing,
in case of critical situations and
in the absence of an operator, is
able to perform fully automatic
troubleshooting operations,
LIQUID COVERSLIPPING TECHNOLOGY
Cristallo ®
The innovative liquid Coverslipping technology
LC001
Cristallo ® is Diapath’s innovative technology that
has been developed as an alternative solution to
common slide mounting procedures. It is a reagent,
an ultra-clear and xylene-free liquid polymer with the
addition of smart ingredients. It creates a smooth
and thin layer over the sample that quickly solidifies,
by simple immersion. There is no need for automatic
mounting instrumentation, relative maintenance
costs and associated critical issues to coverslip
histological samples. Designed to be a flexible
and versatile solution, Diapath Cristallo ® allows to
simultaneously mount a 28-slides batch in 3’ 40”,
placed into an optimized basket, either manually or
directly in the Diapath Giotto automatic stainer, as
the final step of the staining protocol.
Advantages of Cristallo ®
SMART AND FLEXIBLE
Ready-to-use Special Liquid
polymer with smart ingredients
for Manual or Automated
mounting, specifically
optimized for H&E, IHC and SS.
PATENTED SOLUTION
Cristallo ® works through
immersion, creating a smooth
and resistant thin layer on
both side of the slides that
quickly solidifies. No coverglass
misalignments and no more
waste but only refilling.
HIGH QUALITY
Ultra-clear, optically neutral
and high affinity for glass,
resulting in high quality and
contrast under the microscope.
Easy scanning: ideal for Digital
Pathology. It is hydro-repellent
and UV resistant, guaranteeing
long-term protection and no
yellowing over time even with
exposure to light.
LIQUID-BASED CYTOLOGY PREPARATION
CytoPath ® Easy
Fast and easy method for Liquid-Based Cytology
preparation with no need of any other instrument
CP350
The CytoPath ® – Easy is a liquid-based
cytology procedure for the liquid-based
preparation Gyn and Non-gyn cytology
specimens. The process is based on gravity
sedimentation.
The device is composed of a specially
designed vial with a cap seal press lined to
be placed directly over the cytology slide
(GP09040). This method is a replacement
of the conventional Pap smear preparation
method used in cervical cancer screening
as it does not require any instrumentation
for sample processing, which is performed
manually.
The system advantages
MANUAL
It does not require any
instruments for sample
preparation, both for gyn and
non-gyn samples.
THIN LAYER SPOT
The process is simply based
on settling by gravity and
converts the liquid suspension
of a cytology sample into a thin
layer of cells.
ANCILLARY TESTS
Excellent results with the
molecular biology tests on
samples stored inside the
device.
