The Rath Pavilion is envisioned to be the physical manifestation of the spirit of Bhubnaeshwar,
the land of Sun Temple It is imagined to be a temporary, outdoor recreational venue
which reinvents users experience of a public space in Bhubnaeshwar, providing a comfortable,
unique and multi-sensorial experience of the city to be enjoyed by everyone.
The Pavilion will be a gathering place for people to meet, learn about the arts programs on
the island, enjoy a performance or lecture, and experience the interaction of art and the historic
context of
Bhubnaeshwar. The pavilion points toward the future. The design represent the high quality
art and architecture that the Bhubnaeshwar
exemplifies, and as a focal point for gathering together.
