The THR service involves a different way of covering costs<br />
of calf registrations with Holstein UK (HUK), The Jersey Cattle<br />
Society (JCS) and The Ayrshire Cattle Society (AYS).<br />
Do you:<br />
• Register approximately 40% of your calves born?<br />
• Inseminate most of your cows with Holstein, Jersey, or Ayrshire semen?<br />
• Use sexed semen?<br />
• Register any bull calves? (HUK & JCS only)<br />
• Want to even out registration fee cash flow?<br />
If any of your answers are ‘yes’, then you should consider using THR. Instead of paying your<br />
breed society a fee per registration, you are charged a flat fee per cow in herd per month. <strong>NMR</strong><br />
provides your breed society with the number of cows in your herd each month, and your breed<br />
society then sends you a monthly invoice based on this, depending on their per cow fee for this<br />
service. Registrations must be entered either by phone or online via the service provided by<br />
your breed society.<br />
