The Nissan Leaf
Nissan has announced plans to
launch the Nissan Leaf in South Africa
in 2013,this is after the successful
conclusion of discussions between
the government and the motoring
industry on the establishment of
charging infrastructure and the
introduction of customer incentives.
The EVs, which can be charged from
purely renewable energy sources,
such as solar and wind power, aim
to play a critical role in reducing the
impact of climate change.
The cars' batteries can be charged at
home.
Although they're more expensive in
some countries, people who own the
cars are assisted by their governments
with free parking in busy cities, tax
rebates and other incentives.
2012 has been an exciting year for Imperial Nissan Empangeni. The dealership has
welcomed a number of new staff members to its family as well as having to say sad
farewells to others.
We have also had reason to celebrate on more than one occasion as our staff members
have been presented with national awards for their superb performance.
While the economy has had its ups and downs it has still been a good year for the dealership
and for this we wish to thank you, our customers and friends, for your loyal support.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish one and all a safe and happy festive season
and a prosperous 2013.
