Prepare a box plot for the following data:

1. Enter the data in column C1 of the data window (the same as in Example B.3).

2. Select Graph from the command menu.

3. Click on Boxplot in the pull-down menus available under the Graph

command menu.

4. Select the Simple box plot.

5. Enter C1 into the Graph Variables box and click OK.

6. The Minitab output will appear in the graph window as shown in Figure B.10.

The box plot for the data in this example will appear in the graph window as

shown in Figure B.10a. Figure B.10b shows the box plot rotated through 90° so that

the whiskers are horizontal.

Graphical Summary. First enter the data in one or more columns of the worksheet

depending on how many variables you have. For each variable use only

one column. Then use the menu commands Stat > Basic Statistics > Graphical
