AMSA 2023 Internship Guide

It is an exciting hospital for work and study. Liverpool provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, 877 bed capacity, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas of critical care, trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation. The facility serves a rapidly increasing population from diverse cultures, religious and language backgrounds which makes our community vibrant and exciting. REASONS TO APPLY

NETWORK 4: SOUTH WEST, SYDNEY & TWEED HEADS Liverpool Hospital is situated in one of the fastest growing regions and is located within an education and health precinct which includes the Ingham Institute of Applied Medical Research, a Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre and the Clinical Schools of UNSW and Western Sydney University Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching hospital with a strong commitment to teaching and support for its Junior and Resident Medical Staff The hospital also has a well-equipped gym and educational facilities include a well-stocked library and full access to electronic learning resources Liverpool will be undergoing a major redevelopment with the development of a new Liverpool Health, Education, Research and Innovation Precinct Tweed Heads, where JMOs may spend a rotation or two, is situated close to world renowned beaches and the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
