administration cohort. It offers an extensive education and training program with<br />

protected teaching. It is affiliated with the University of Sydney and has<br />

collaborations with RMOA, JMO Quality and Risk Committee, Concord Institute of<br />

Academic Surgery and MDOK.<br />

Concord is the first teaching hospital to receive 5 years back-to-back Accreditation<br />

Awards, as well as three consecutive 3 year Accreditation Awards from the NSW<br />

HETI for the exemplary training of postgraduate doctors.<br />

CONCORD HOSPITAL<br />

Concord Hospital is situated on the Parramatta River and is close to the city. Thus,<br />

you can enjoy expansive views extending to the Sydney Harbour Bridge on one<br />

side, and the beautiful Blue Mountains on the other. The hospital has a long<br />

tradition of providing care to the veteran community and today, provides health<br />

care to the inner west of Sydney. Concord Repatriation General Hospital is a<br />

principal referral facility and a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.<br />

We offer a comprehensive range of specialty and subspecialty services, many<br />

recognised nationally and internationally as centres of excellence. The hospital is<br />

linked to the on-site Concord Centre for Mental Health.<br />

ROTATIONS AVAILABLE<br />

The following terms that are available for interns are: Renal Medicine, Cardiology,<br />

Neurology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Geriatrics, Medical Oncology,<br />

Respiratory, Rehabilitation Medicine, Psychiatry, Palliative Care, Emergency, Breast<br />

Endocrine, Cardiothoracic and Head and Neck Surgery, General Surgery, Plastics<br />

and Reconstruction, Colorectal Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology/Gynaecology,<br />

Upper GI Surgery, Orthopaedics and Vascular Surgery.<br />

The following terms that are available for post graduate year 2 onward include:<br />

Dermatology, Drug Health Services, Endocrinology, Haematology, Hospital in the<br />

Home, Clinical Governance, Immunology and Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases,<br />

Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Neurosurgery. ENT<br />

term at Concord is offered via the Surgical Skills Network and Anatomical<br />

Pathology is via negotiation.<br />
