Hello everyone (especially class of 2023)! The 2023 edition of the AMSA Internship Guide is now available to read! This is the AMSA guide for the 2024 clinical year.
This guide could not have been possible without the contribution of medical students, hospital management teams, interns, AMA and many other people volunteering their time to update the information. For example, we have added eight new health networks across all states and territories to the internship guide.
Good luck to the class of 2023! We hope that the information within this guide can be beneficial for you during your internship applications.

ROYAL PERTH BENTLEY GROUP (ROYAL PERTH HOSPITAL) 84+ predicted 2024 internship positions NETWORK TRAINING SITES Armadale Health Service, Bentley Health Service, Bunbury Regional Hospital, Hedland Health Campus, Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital. ROTATIONS AVAILABLE BASIC INFORMATION Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) forms part of Royal Perth Bentley Group (RPBG), and remains a vibrant 450-bed teaching hospital. It is considered the flagship hospital of the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS). The hospital continues to build on its strong tradition of excellence, not only in the provision of high-quality clinical care, education, and research, but also in fostering a culture of staff wellbeing and support. RPH is home to quaternary level trauma services (comprising the State Major Trauma Centre) and retains a substantial tertiary workload across most medical and surgical specialities within the Perth metropolitan area (Royal Perth Hospital, Bentley Health Service, Armadale Health Service). There are prospects of exposure to almost all facets of medicine and surgery, including paediatrics and obstetrics/gynaecology. A number of country rotations are also available, including sites such as Bunbury Regional Hospital, Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital and Hedland Health Campus.
