BASIC INFORMATION<br />

Echuca Regional Health (ERH) is a modern 113-bed outer regional health service which<br />

provides Emergency, Medical, High Dependency, Surgical, Obstetric, Paediatric,<br />

Rehabilitation, Geriatric Evaluation & Management and Palliative Care services to<br />

Echuca/Moama and surrounding communities. ERH also provides extensive outpatient<br />

services, including chemotherapy, dialysis and dental services. ERH was awarded the<br />

Premier’s Medium Health Service of the Year in 2018 and is the designated hub for the<br />

Victorian Rural Generalist Program Training in the Loddon Mallee region.<br />

ERH lies in the town of Echuca and across the Murray River from its NSW counterpart,<br />

Moama. Echuca/Moama is a thriving and historic riverside community, popular for its<br />

paddle steamers, water sports, wineries, culinary offerings, family and bush activities. It<br />

hosts multiple festivals every year, including the world famous Southern 80 ski race.<br />

Echuca/Moama is also popular with young families and retirees because of its diversity,<br />

infrastructure and social supports. Echuca/Moama is approximately 2.5 hours from<br />
