All rotations are at Albury Wodonga Health at either Albury or Wodonga Campus.<br />

ROTATIONS AVAILABLE<br />

Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Acute Care of<br />

the Elderly, Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation. For PGY2 and above additional specialty<br />

rotations including ICU, ENT, Urology, Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, Gynaecology,<br />

Community psychiatry, Geriatrics & Cardiology.<br />

BASIC INFORMATION<br />

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is a unique cross-border health service that<br />

operates under the jurisdiction of the Victorian Department of Health & Human<br />

Services (DHHS). Providing the best of health to more than 250,000 people, across<br />

an area spanning North East Victoria to Southern New South Wales, AWH has<br />

grown to be the second-largest regional health service in Victoria and provides<br />

healthcare services comparable to metropolitan centres. AWH is a 337-bed health<br />

services that treated over 61,000 emergency presentation, more than 40,000<br />

inpatients, and delivered 1650 babies in the last 12 months. Services are provided<br />

from 17 sites across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. There are<br />

30 sub-acute beds, 95 mental health beds, five intensive care beds, seven operating<br />

theatres, and 117 general beds. Currently plans are underway for the expansion of<br />

the Albury Emergency Department and Specialist Clinics plus a new mental health<br />

rehabilitation residential service at the Wodonga campus. AWH also manages a<br />

range of community based residential facilities and community health centres.<br />

Albury and Wodonga are large regional centres located on either side of the<br />

picturesque Murray River, and a quick flight to Sydney and Melbourne. We are<br />

surrounded by a rural landscape which brings with it a range of tourist activities<br />

including the Rutherglen wine region, Milawa Fine Food trails and historic<br />

Beechworth. There is easy day access to the Falls Creek ski fields, Mount Hotham<br />

and Dinner Plain Resorts, not to mention the mountain biking trails of Mt Beauty,<br />

Yackandandah, Beechworth and Bright. For hiking enthusiasts we also sit close to<br />

Victoria’s High Country, the Kosciuszko Alpine Region and Buffalo National Park.<br />

This stunning region offers a very family friendly lifestyle, affordable housing, great<br />

schools and Universities.
