This guide could not have been possible without the contribution of medical students, hospital management teams, interns, AMA and many other people volunteering their time to update the information. SALHN offers opportunities to practise medicine across a broad range of specialties<br />
in a supportive environment. The network has strong leadership with a focus on<br />
wellbeing underpinned by mentoring and debriefing sessions, and there are<br />
mechanisms in place to provide regular feedback to divisions including via a junior<br />
medical advisory committee.<br />
The medical education team provides comprehensive and dynamic training in<br />
their weekly intern tutorial and simulation programs, clinical skills workshops and<br />
five-day orientation program. Training is also provided on the wards and within<br />
departments.<br />
Additionally, SALHN provides education, information, and support for interns and<br />
general trainees who are interested in a General Practice career pathway.<br />
