BASIC INFORMATION<br />

Redcliffe Hospital is a 250-bed hospital located in South East Queensland, 35km<br />

from Brisbane. The hospital is affiliated with the UQ and Queensland University of<br />

Technology in training medical, nursing and allied health students. The hospital is<br />

also equipped with a library, with a reference collection of textbooks provided by<br />

UQ for student access. By interning here, you can enjoy close proximity to Brisbane<br />

and a beautiful local area with easy access to the ocean and activities of sailing or<br />

the sea breeze.<br />

REASONS TO APPLY<br />

Access to postgraduate teaching programs at tertiary hospital campuses<br />

Vigorous postgraduate education program (tutorials/teaching sessions<br />

available in most units and general education sessions with guest lecturers on a<br />

weekly basis)<br />

Regular meetings with Medical Education Officers and Director Clinical Training<br />

Accredited training programs with open door policy access to Medical<br />

Workforce<br />

Weekly medical education programs for interns, junior doctors, registrars and<br />

consultants linked to your continued professional development<br />

Weekly intern only education including practical skills sessions (protected time<br />

for interns) with Peri-operative Introductory Program provided to all interns<br />

during surgical rotations<br />

Weekly Junior Doctor Professional Development Program (protected time for<br />

interns)<br />

Weekly grand rounds (accredited with RACGP and ACEM for CPD points).<br />
