ourselves better and also practiced working as a team. For example we designed a candle that we use regularly at
our meetings. We also wrote a list of core attributes of the Search Committee and a covenant.
Later in the afternoon we chose our various positions on the team. Each of us would be responsible for certain
tasks, while knowing we had the support of everyone on the committee. We also worked out a timeline for
completing the various phases of our search.
One of our first tasks involves YOU. Soon you will be receiving a congregational survey. We want you to read it,
think about it and of course fill it out. This is very important to us, the Search Committee, and to you, the
congregation, and to our new minister. Our goal is to get 100% participation. We need your voice.
You will hear a lot from us. We want to let you know as much as possible about our progress and want to keep
you involved.
