ABOUT SHADOW SYSTEMS
Shadow Systems was founded by real-world shooters who asked a simple question: why can’t
factory guns come with custom features?
The Shadow Systems team is made up of combat veterans, former law enforcement officers,
and competitive shooters. With their unique perspectives on shooting, they have developed
handgun features that vastly improve pistol shootability while maintaining bet-your-life
reliability.
Shadow Systems pistols combine premium features, production pricing, exceptional
shootability, and a full lifetime warranty, bringing the shooter everything they need right out of
the box. While Shadow Systems pistols may be pretty enough to be safe queens, they are
designed to be hardcore tools for a multitude of use cases.
Every one of our products is built in Plano, Texas with parts made in-house. There are few pistol
companies that can say that they offer a product line that is truly Made in America with
American labor and American parts.

LIFETIME WARRANTY
Shadow Systems pistols are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. As a Shadow
Systems owner, you can be confident that your pistol is built to withstand even the
hardest duty use. We stand behind every product created at Shadow Systems with
our lifetime warranty supported by our world-class Technical Team. Whether or
not you are the original purchaser of the firearm, we will support you for the
lifetime of your pistols.
USE OF PISTOL IN SELF-DEFENSE SITUATION
If you are forced to use your Shadow Systems pistol in a self-defense situation in
the United States, it is possible that you will temporarily or permanently lose
possession of your Shadow Systems pistol.
If your use of your Shadow Systems pistol is deemed legally justified to the
satisfaction of Shadow Systems, but the pistol is not returned to you, Shadow
Systems will replace your pistol free of charge, to the extent permitted by law.
This policy applies to law enforcement line of duty use in cases where the pistol
was personally purchased by the officer.

FROM THE CEO
Shadow Systems has undergone an incredible evolution since launching our first pistol five years
ago. What started as a small team in a 3’x3’ SHOT Show booth has grown into an operation of over
100 people offering more than 600 SKUs. We are so thankful for all the customer enthusiasm and
support that has brought us to this point.
Our pistols have made it into the hands of hundreds of thousands of shooters and into the duty
holsters of over 200 law enforcement agencies across the country. We now offer a full Armorers
Course and pistol training for law enforcement agencies. In 2022, we launched the successful
CR920 subcompact pistol and our patent-pending, smile-inducing DR920P.
To build on this success as we move into 2023, we look forward to growing our product offering
while maintaining our reputation for reliability and customer support. Our nimble approach to
product development and openness to consumer feedback allows us to continue to iterate and
develop more rapidly than our peers, constantly improving upon our existing products while
rapidly launching new and exciting pistols.

PATENTED MULTI - FOOTPRINT OPTIC CUT
An Industry First: no plates, ultra-low position, multi- footprint, giant screws.
Until now, every optic mounting design involved a series of compromises. Multi-footprint meant
adapter plates, high position, and short screws. Low mounting position meant one footprint only
and even smaller screws!
The Shadow Systems patented optic mount is the first to offer a bombproof solution with no
compromises.
The design fits multiple, duty-rated optics without adapters that weaken the connection and
require shorter screws.
Do you want to use the optic to rack the slide? So do we. The included spacers key lock into the
slide and create a zero fit condition. Giant screws keep the optic where it belongs—on the gun.
Best of all, the low mounting position creates a perfect lower 1/3 co-witness with the standard
height sights that come on the gun. You don’t need to change the sights to have them work well
with your optic.

FRAME FEATURES
Our frame sits ultra-low in the hand, with an extended, upswept beavertail and a dramatic trigger
guard undercut. The frame features wrap-around texture aggressive enough to give a positive
grip in all weather and still comfortable for daily carry. A textured recoil control ledge allows the
support-hand thumb to engage, vastly reducing muzzle rise between shots.
Our frames feature the groundbreaking Shadow Systems NPOA backstrap system, which
fundamentally changes the grip angle of the gun to meet the shooter’s natural point of aim. It’s
not about small, medium, or large; it’s about getting fight stopping hits at close range, under
stress, whether you see the sights or not.
Shadow Systems frames have a generous internal magazine and come with an additional
removable magazine well, mounting hardware, and tool, for those who want even faster reloads.
Other frame features include a high-traction magazine release button, an enhanced slide-lever
curtain, and compatibility with existing holsters.

SHADOW SYSTEMS SLIDES
Shadow Systems slides are designed to minimize recoil and maximize control and comfort.
Shadow Systems slides come in three model types, each with unique machining patterns.
ELITE MODEL SLIDE
Elite model slides feature directional serrations in front, rear, and topside of
the slide. Elite slides also feature a weight optimizing window cut. All Elite slides
feature our patented multi-footprint optic cut.
COMBAT MODEL SLIDE
Combat model slides feature directional serrations in front and rear. Combat
slides can be configured with or without the patented multi-footprint optic cut.
FOUNDATION SERIES SLIDE
Foundation Series slides feature pocket cut slide serrations and the patented
multi-footprint optic cut.

MATCH-GRADE BARRELS
Shadow Systems match-grade barrels are machined in house, conventionally rifled 1-10 in., and
concentricity checked. The lug geometry and barrel hood fit is slightly tighter than a conventional
barrel, but not enough to compromise reliability.
Elite and Combat models feature a spiral fluting pattern. The spiral fluting pattern improves the
evacuation of dirt and debris and reduces barrel weight. Foundation Series pistols have a smooth
finish version of the match-grade barrel.

INTERNALS AND TRIGGER
The Shadow Systems flat faced trigger and proprietary trigger bar feature a smooth 4.5 – 5.0 lbs
trigger pull and a crisp, tactile reset. Trigger take-up is slightly reduced without compromising
internal safeties. All drop safeties are intact in this duty-purposed, carry-safe trigger.
Shadow Systems pistols use a modified recoil system which allows the user to adjust and tune the
gun with different spring weights in the MR/DR/XR models. The included recoil spring is a
conventional weight spring manufactured from high-quality chrome silicon material. All guide
rods are machined steel not injection molded plastic.
All internal slide parts are machined from billet stainless steel. The extractor is our own highreliability
enhanced LCI extractor. The LCI features a serration that increases the sensation of the
LCI protruding from the slide when checking by feel in darkness. The extractor features Shadow
Systems proprietary geometry and material selection to enhance longevity and extraction of a
wide range of ammunition.

SPECIAL MAKEUPS
We often partner with our Dealers and Distributors to create special make ups of our pistol line.
Choices available for SMUs are: frame color, slide features, slide color and finish, barrel finish, and
special accessories. We have an existing partnership with optics and illumination companies for
the addition of custom-matched accessories. Inquire with our sales team to learn more about
minimum order quantity requirements .

Created by Shadow Systems with John Lovell’s hand-selected features, the War Poet line of pistols
merges Warrior Poet Society’s philosophy with Shadow Systems functionality. War Poet pistols are
built on the MR920, DR920, and CR920 platforms, and includes exclusive WPS color and brand
elements. The differentiating features of the War Poet line are in the slide machining. John Lovell
selected agressively angled serrations in front, rear, and topside, paired with a weight-balancing
window cut. All War Poet models come standard with the patented Shadow Systems multifootprint
optic cut, allowing for direct, bombproof mounting of most brands of red dot sights.
