Blinds & Shutters - Issue 2-2023

As I write this it seems as if the Government has reached an agreement with the EU regarding trading arrangements with Northern Ireland. This seems long overdue and let’s hope it doesn’t led to a two tier system within the UK and it gets through Parliament. Also energy prices are still high on the agenda and decisions are being made as we speak on whether there will still be any financial help from the Government. Industry does not seem to be talked about as much as consumers, but if the Government really want to control inflation, energy prices have to come down for prices not to continue rising. It’s a tough time for everyone in the UK, I hope it ‘s not going to get any harder for industry. John Hatcher, Editor

NEW PRODUCTS
All bases covered
Yewdale has
launched a number
of new products
for 2023
Yewdale recently announced the launch of
four types of Perfect Fit blinds; roller,
Venetian, pleated and pleated honeycomb.
Unlike traditional blinds, the installation process for
Perfect Fit blinds involves no drilling or screws.
If you order Perfect Fit blinds from other
manufacturers, they may not assemble the blind for
you. This means the installer must spend time putting
the blind's frame together. Yewdale make the
installation process as easy as possible by assembling
the frame of Perfect Fit® blinds before they are
dispatched, guaranteeing fast installation. Yewdale
only assembles the frames if the order is delivered
by Yewdale vans because they can use less packaging
and know your blind won’t be damaged in transit.
Perfect Fit blinds are supplied with right-angled
metal brackets which connect the blind to the
window. The first step is to push the metal brackets
into the window or door seal.
On the back of the blind’s frame, you’ll see slots
which are shaped to house the metal brackets. All
you need to do is align the slots with the brackets
and push the Perfect Fit® blind against them. The
brackets click into the frame, securing the blind to
the window or door.
Perfect Fit blinds are ideal for tilted windows and
bifold doors because they attach directly to the
window or door. This means that the blind doesn’t
obstruct a tilting window or patio door when
opened, instead it moves with it. These innovative
blinds are also popular with people living in rental
properties where drilling is prohibited.
Yewdale manufacture blinds in shorter lead times
than the industry average and are one of the only
manufacturers with its only delivery fleet, providing a
superior service to customers. Please email
enquiries@yewdale.co.uk for more information
about their new Perfect Fit blinds.
