As I write this it seems as if the Government has reached an agreement with the EU regarding trading arrangements with Northern Ireland. This seems long overdue and let’s hope it doesn’t led to a two tier system within the UK and it gets through Parliament. Also energy prices are still high on the agenda and decisions are being made as we speak on whether there will still be any financial help from the Government. Industry does not seem to be talked about as much as consumers, but if the Government really want to control inflation, energy prices have to come down for prices not to continue rising. It’s a tough time for everyone in the UK, I hope it ‘s not going to get any harder for industry. John Hatcher, Editor

Eco-Friendly Fabrics<br />
A key focus for Luxaflex is their sustainability<br />
credentials and this new collection features an<br />
array of eco-friendly fabrics.<br />
A number of transparent and room darkening<br />
samples in the roller blinds range are made from<br />
50% recycled ocean waste and through the brand’s<br />
GreenScreen® SeaTex® programme Luxaflex is<br />
also helping to clean up the shoreline and coastline<br />
communities too.<br />
The brand’s new ReLife fabrics are made with<br />
recycled polyester post-consumer PET bottles,<br />
available in a range of over 25 colours and<br />
textures.<br />
Inherently sustainable by design, Luxaflex<br />
products also contribute to sustainability by helping<br />
control light and heat, reducing energy loss, thus<br />
saving on heating and cooling costs.<br />
Sound Absorbing <strong>Blinds</strong><br />
Customers now have even more choice with<br />
the new collection as the brand introduces their<br />
first acoustic range of fabrics.<br />
Function and style combine on this subcollection,<br />
which offers proven benefits including<br />
up to 60% noise absorption (tested according to<br />
EN ISO 11654).<br />
With enhanced comfort, the fabrics are<br />
designed to improve acoustics in a room from<br />
internal surfaces such as hard flooring, as well as<br />
homes that are susceptible to roadside noise.<br />
Pattern and Print<br />
The latest colours and trends can be seen<br />
throughout the collection. And, new for this range<br />
is a bespoke selection of patterns and prints<br />
exclusive to the UK region.<br />
