S Rainmaker 9216
S Rainmaker 9216 sold through our 2010 sale as our featured 6536 son. This
high performing Rainmaker bull is long bodied, expressively muscled, has a
mild disposition and is out of an elite Pathfinder VRD donor. His first sons sold
in 2011 and were very well received, due to their extra length, performance, and
muscle. In 2013 we will offer a large number of his sons, which includes several
real standouts highlighted by a maternal brother to Summit. Unfortunately 9216
suffered a breeding injury in 2011, and with his limited semen supply, this will be
the last chance to purchase his genetics in volume.
S Chisum 6175 is the most dominant sire we have ever
used. He is a Spickler bred and raised sire who topped our 2007 bull
offering. Chisum is powerfully built with tremendous muscle and mass. He
has excellent depth of body, a long, free, powerful stride and good foot shape. Chisum is a modest
birth sire who adds performance and power to his offspring. His daughters are tremendous young
cows. They are deep bodied, docile, milk well, and add extra performance to their calves. Our
Chisum progeny have highlighted our past sales being highly sought after by top registered and
commercial operations. We will have a large offering of Chisum sons in 2013 as well as numerous
progeny out of Chisum daughters.
Sinclair Fortunate Son is developing into one of the most potent sires we have
used. While at Sinclairs he was one of the fastest growing, highest gaining bulls in
his calf crop, but was also one of the deepest middled, thickest bulls in their 2011
offering. Our first calves arrived this March and are really impressive. Fortunate’s
potency is marked by the extra length and power he adds to his calves. Fortunate
stamps his progeny with a consistent pattern that is typical of a good breeding bull.
We will offer a number of his sons May 6, 2013. Several of these are ¾ brothers out
of Chisum daughters, which is proving to be an excellent mating. We will have several
Fortunate sons and daughters on display for the ND Angus tour in September.
Shortly after our sale Minert/Simonson Dunning, NE, purchased a semen interest
in Elevate from Sparrow’s. Elevate has developed into an impressive three-yearold
bull. He is thick topped, big quartered, loaded with muscle, and sound. His
first sons were highly sought after in May commanding a progeny sale average
of $7781. Elevate’s sons have length, muscle, and power. His daughters have
excellent rib shape, flesh easy, and we expect them to be very good uddered like
Elevate’s dam. We will only offer a few Elevate sons in 2013 but his influence will
be felt for several years as he is currently a resident pasture sire at Spickler Ranch.

RA Lincoln has become one of our most popular resident sires. His sons were very
popular in our May 2012 production sale. They are very light birth bulls with extra
length and muscle. His first daughters calved this spring and are easy keeping, tidy
uddered young cows that are raising nice calves. Lincoln’s finished steer and heifer
harvest data also has him marked as a high quality carcass sire, with an outcross
pedigree. We will have a large offering of his sons in our 2013 production sale.
