This is The Black Country
What our partners said...
‘‘
We have been delighted to be a key partner in the
‘This is the Black Country campaign’, a subject
very close to my heart,” said Johnathan Dudley,
Midlands & Southwest Managing Partner and Head of
Manufacturing Business at Crowe UK.
“Together with the Black Country Chamber, we are
constantly working to put the region on the map.
“It is vital that we keep reinforcing the message that
the Black Country and wider West Midlands is a
dynamic and innovative place to do business and a
great place to work, where talent is recognised and
rewarded. It is also a region with great connectivity to
all parts of the UK and global markets, and we are all
aligned in our commitment to drive forward greater
usage of green energy sources in coming years.
“The year-long ‘This is the Black Country’ campaign
has helped put the area firmly on the map, and it is now
our joint duty to keep it forever in the mind of our
regional and national politicians and, crucially,
investors looking for a reception region in which
to deploy their capital, grow their business
and create jobs.
‘‘
‘‘
EBC Group became a partner of ‘This Is
The Black Country’ campaign because it
was an excellent way for businesses across the
region to work with the Chamber, to focus on
ensuring we are attracting and retaining the
right talent to equip us in the future.
“We are focused on providing innovative
technology to the Black Country, which drives
growth for businesses and helps them stay
competitive.
Richard Lane, CEO/Founder EBC Group
‘‘
Pertemps is proud to have worked with
many Midlands-based firms across
multiple sectors, helping them to grow,
prosper and manage whatever challenges
come their way.
“Being part of the Black Country Chamber
and ‘This Is The Black Country’ campaign has
helped us continue that, supporting businesses
for the benefit of our local communities.
The University of Wolverhampton
Business School has been delighted to
be supporting the BCCC ‘This is the Black
Country’ campaign,” said Professor Sukhninder
Panesar (Associate Dean) LLB LLM SFHEA,
Head of Law School, University of
Wolverhampton.
“Our mission – as was the campaign’s – has
always been to support and champion business
in the region as well as preparing people for
work. Being part of this important campaign has
helped us to serve and celebrate the business
community in the Black Country.”
He added that the campaign “has highlighted
the innovation, entrepreneurship and
opportunities created by businesses in the Black
Country, and allowed us to celebrate the
fantastic organisations responsible for it.”
‘‘
‘‘
It has been hugely beneficial to be a partner in
the ‘This Is The Black Country’ campaign and it
has certainly created a platform for championing the
region and its business community.
“We are proud to have played our part in flying
the flag and creating positive conversations about
the needs and ambitions of regional businesses in
the here and now, but also creating opportunities to
grow in the future.
“The most rewarding aspect of the campaign has
been the opportunity to interact and communicate
with leaders from so many different sectors. There
has also been a high degree of reciprocation, with
members and non-members exchanging their views
and thoughts about how to collectively work
together to drive the region forward.
“Our strategy as a law firm is to build long-term
relationships with our clients, our people, our
business partners and our community, and this
campaign has certainly helped us further
achieve those goals.
Sophie Wardell, HR Director of Higgs LLP
