Collierville High School Wind Ensemble<br />

The Collierville Wind Ensemble (Collierville High School) is the top performance<br />

group comprised of 9th-12th grade students. The wind ensemble’s mission is to<br />

expose students to the rich history of wind band literature and create memorable<br />

performance for the Collierville community. The ensemble has earned consistent<br />

superior ratings in concert performance assessment and ASBDA awards of<br />

distinction. The ensemble has worked with several esteemed conductors, including<br />

Dr. Scott Jones (Ohio State University), Dr. Steve Moore (University of Miami), Dr.<br />

Steven Meyer (Northern Arizona University), Dr. Christopher Morehouse (Southern<br />

Illinois University), Dr. Benjamin Diden (Georgia Tech University), and Dr. Albert<br />

Nguyen (University of Memphis).<br />

Hall of Fame Concert & Awards Ceremony<br />

The Nolensville Wind Ensemble (Nolensville High<br />

School) is the premiere instrumental ensemble<br />

of Nolensville Band. Currently in its fifth year, the<br />

Wind Ensemble is comprised of advanced young<br />

musicians representing grades 9 through 12. The<br />

ensemble consistently produces MTSBOA All Mid-<br />

State Honor Band and Tennessee All-State Band<br />

members. In addition to annually achieving unanimous superior ratings at Concert<br />

Performance Assessment and the ASBDA Award of Distinction in Concert Performance,<br />

the Nolensville Wind Ensemble performed before 8 million viewers as a televised<br />

featured on ABC World News Tonight With David Muir. The ensemble is honored to<br />

perform the Tennessee Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame Concert at the 64th<br />

Annual Tennessee Music Education Association <strong>Conference</strong>, which will feature the<br />

premiere of the first Nolensville Band commission by composer Brant Karrick.<br />
