Exhibition catalog: Discourse of War
This exhibition is about the impact of the war on the lives and creative paths of artists in Ukraine and worldwide. We want to show how artists’ attitude to art has changed during this year. How changed the vector of their creativity and attitude to the language of art in connection with these events. War has no nationality or religion. War has an impact on everyone individually and on all of humanity in general. Our goal is to show how artists from different parts of the world perceive war. This is an art discourse between artists and viewers.

Usually, animals are perceived as imperfect speechless creatures, and people look down
on them, considering themselves the masters of this world. For me, animals are not
primitive creatures that live only by instincts, but living beings that, like us, go through
life, gain experience and evolve. And the fact that they are silent does not mean that
they have nothing to say to us. This is a whole universe that we are unlikely to be able to
fully understand. I cry when I see beached whales. Why do they do this? What do they
want to tell us? I do not know. But I want to know. Therefore, working on this topic is
my personal research, because I want to get answers to such questions, and I have many
of them. I’m not sure if I can get all the answers, but I’ll keep drawing. I want animals
to communicate with us from the canvases of my works. I want them to talk about how
they feel good or what hurts them. They spoke without words. And let each of us hear
his own.
