Exhibition catalog: Discourse of War

This exhibition is about the impact of the war on the lives and creative paths of artists in Ukraine and worldwide. We want to show how artists’ attitude to art has changed during this year. How changed the vector of their creativity and attitude to the language of art in connection with these events. War has no nationality or religion. War has an impact on everyone individually and on all of humanity in general. Our goal is to show how artists from different parts of the world perceive war. This is an art discourse between artists and viewers.

About artwork

This painting is not large, but it contains the history of many couples, families, and families.

A short time of farewell with indescribable longing and hugs. I want to remember

each other’s warmth, smell, and breath. I don’t want to let go. And the tears roll, roll by

themselves. There is no one for the two at this moment. There is only that terrible word

when someone says “it’s time”. And then waiting.

My watercolors have always been about what surrounds me. Rural landscapes,

flowers, river. Watercolor can emphasize these plots. I tried to recreate the kindness

and sincerity of the area where I live. And since February 24 last year, everything has

changed. There was more pain. Anxiety. But I try to paint native landscapes with even

greater trepidation and zeal. As if I want to make it before they are still broken. And

I draw flowers because their buds continue to bloom no matter what. In nature, everything

is according to plan, everything takes its turn. And I draw it. I am drawing a

village house, only now I know that it is light and warm. I want it to be so. My worries

still remain on paper. Something I never thought about. Separation, despair, ruins.
