Exhibition catalog: Discourse of War
This exhibition is about the impact of the war on the lives and creative paths of artists in Ukraine and worldwide. We want to show how artists’ attitude to art has changed during this year. How changed the vector of their creativity and attitude to the language of art in connection with these events. War has no nationality or religion. War has an impact on everyone individually and on all of humanity in general. Our goal is to show how artists from different parts of the world perceive war. This is an art discourse between artists and viewers.

About artwork
Ever since the 24th of February, 2022, I have been having surrealistic dreams woven
from fear and despair, courage and dignity, infinite power, and helplessness simultaneously,
from the triumph of humanity and its complete defeat.
I perceive the above in colored lines, spots, and bands that flicker like some old television
screen. I do not attribute such an experience to exhaustion.
Even when I can rest one day, I will not be the person I was before that fateful day.
Про роботу
З 24 лютого мені почали снитись сюрреалістичні сни, зіткані зі страху та відчаю,
мужності та гідності, безмежної сили та безпорадності одночасно, з величі людства
та його повної поразки.
Я бачу ці сни, створені із кольорових ліній, плям і смуг, які тільки і роблять, що
мерехтять, як екран старого телевізора. І цей мій стан - це не виснаження.
Навіть коли я зможу відпочити, я вже ніколи не буду тією людиною, якою була до
того фатального дня.
«Будь художником. Не зважаючи ні на що. Будь художником настільки непохитно,
ніби ти можеш змінити світ».
Моя робота як художника – це пригода в самопізнанні. Живопси для мене - це
безпечний спосіб розмовляти із собою, щоб не викликати підозр.
Які кольори та текстури малює життя на моєму полотні? Що хвилює мене саме
сьогодні? Чи зазнаю я дискримінації? А може я когось дискриміную?
Чи означає, що не існує нерівності, якщо я її не відчуваю? Що таке фемінізм? Чи
хочу я говорити про роль жінки в суспільстві? І як я можу зробити це ефективно?
Як мені висловитися так, щоб мене почули?
Я пишу прозу. Коли я хочу говорити більше голосно, я створюю новий портрет.
Потім я збираю картини в колекцію, яка стає ще більше потужним висловленням
моїх ідей.
Я сперечаюся та погоджуюсь сама із собою знову і знову, і з новою думкою чи
викликом я знову стаю до роботи.
