Exhibition catalog: Discourse of War
This exhibition is about the impact of the war on the lives and creative paths of artists in Ukraine and worldwide. We want to show how artists’ attitude to art has changed during this year. How changed the vector of their creativity and attitude to the language of art in connection with these events. War has no nationality or religion. War has an impact on everyone individually and on all of humanity in general. Our goal is to show how artists from different parts of the world perceive war. This is an art discourse between artists and viewers.

About artwork
When the war came to me for the first time, in 2014, the paper dolls in the basement
became my psychological hook that prevented me from falling off the roof from the
constant explosions. In this work, I combined my naivety trampled by cruel reality and
lost childhood.
Про роботу
Коли до мене прийшла війна вперше, у 2014 році, паперові ляльки в підвалі стали
моїм психологічним гачком, який не дав мені з’їхати дахом від постійних вибухів.
В цій роботі я поєднала мою розтоптану жорстокою реальністю наївність та
втрачено дитинство.
До повномасштабного вторгнення, я малювала в зовсім іншій манері, висвітлюючи
проблеми та питання нинішньої українською молоді, котра опинилася в умовах
пострадянської стагнації. Брала тематику міжлюдських стосунків, відносин,
страху перед майбутнім. Деякі роботи присвячувала рідному місту - Лисичанську.
Після ранку 24 лютого, в мене щось вмерло і знов ожило. Не знаю, що відбулося,
але мій стиль малювання помінявся з першої роботи. Лінії стали важкі, додалося
багато червоного кольору, а в очах персонажів картин зник повністю блиск.
І тут почався бум, сталась перша благодійна виставка в Лос-Анджелесі, згодом
виставки були в Європі і по містам України. Тісно співпрацювала з “Gareleya.
Neotodryosh” з “Центром Спільних Дій”.
На жаль, тематика моїх картин в останній рік зовсім не змінилась - я пишу про
війну. Але я мрію, про той час, коли стане актуально малювати картини про нашу
перемогу та відбудову.
