Exhibition catalog: Discourse of War
This exhibition is about the impact of the war on the lives and creative paths of artists in Ukraine and worldwide. We want to show how artists’ attitude to art has changed during this year. How changed the vector of their creativity and attitude to the language of art in connection with these events. War has no nationality or religion. War has an impact on everyone individually and on all of humanity in general. Our goal is to show how artists from different parts of the world perceive war. This is an art discourse between artists and viewers.

Про роботу
З початком повномасштабної війни у всіх без винятку відбулись зміни. Таких
внутрішніх змін та надломів зазнала і я. До цього працювала з дитячою ілюстрацією
або ж з легкими сюжетами про власні переживання. Війна стала поштовхом для
глибоких занурень у власну самоідентичність та дослідженням народної духовної
практики. Кожному українцю прийшлось налаштовувати власні внутрішні антени
для зміцнення фундаменту в боротьбі зі злом.
I work in abstract figurative work. Through female images, I convey psycho-emotional
states. Which I myself experience. For me, the female figure
is about life, gender, strength and depth of emotions. Figures without clarity,
as the personification of a memory or a hint of existence, or a strong
immersion in an emotional state. I research and reflect on the question of how memory
works in emotional upheavals and how it works in a state of self-preservation.
I like to mix materials and techniques in my work. Somehow creating chaos
with a sense of lack of order. But the repetition of lines or ornaments balances
all anxiety, gives a feeling of control over the situation. I like to combine
acrylic and oil paints, oil pastel. Work with semi-dry and expressive strokes.
In my work, I practice moving from an idea. But I always leave a percentage for internal
impulse in work. Therefore, my works are filled with an emotional component.
Працюю в абстрактному фігуративі. Через жіночі образи передаю психоемоційні
стани. Які ж і сама переживаю. Для мене жіноча фігура- це про життя, рід, силу та
глибину емоцій. Фігури без чіткості, як уособлення спогаду чи натяк на існування,
чи сильне заглиблення в емоційний стан. Досліджую та рефлексую на питання як
працює пам’ять в емоційних потрясіннях та як працює в стані самозбереження.
Мені подобається міксувати матеріали та техніки в роботі. Певним чим створюючи
хаос з відчуттям відсутності порядку. Але повторювальність ліній чи орнаментів
збалансовують всю тривожність, дає відчуття контролю ситуації. Мені подобається
поєднувати акрил та олійні фарби, олійну пастель. Працювати з напівсухими та з
експресивними мазками.
В своїй роботі практикую рухатись від ідеї. Але завжди залишаю відсоток на
внутрішній порив в роботі. Тому, мої роботи наповнені емоційною складовою.
