Join Sumien, a lecturer at Warwick’s
Chef School for a hands-on day of
patisserie in the chef school’s training
kitchen.
Prepare, plate, and decorate a dessert
that will impress all your guests.
Sumien will share tips and
information about the importance
of precision in patisserie and how
to use a variety of dessert elements
which can be constructed singly or
in combination – to stimulate the
senses and ‘plate balance’.
Spend a fun day with Nic creating
your own relief using air-drying clay.
Your finished 3D product can be
painted or given a patina.
Nic will teach and discuss basic
anatomy, proportion and expression.
He will then guide participants
through the entire sculpting process
– from establishing an effective
lay-out to the final finishing
techniques. The session will end
with the satisfaction of taking home
the finished product. All materials
will be provided.
Join Michele for a few hours of
creative fun using your phone and
photos. This workshop is aimed
at equipping novices with a few
basic design skills using the Canva
application on your Apple or android
phone.
Simply bring your charged phone.
Make sure you’ve already downloaded
the Canva app and signed
into Canva.
We will aim to design at least three
social media posts using different
templates and ideas.
