The UCT Symphonic Wind Ensemble, comprising about<br />
forty-five under- and post-graduate students will bring<br />
<strong>FynArts</strong> <strong>2023</strong> to a close. Conductor Brandon Phillips, who<br />
was appointed at the beginning of this year as winds and<br />
ensembles lecturer at UCT, was principal bassoon of<br />
the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and Artistic<br />
Director and Conductor of the Cape Town Philharmonic<br />
Youth Orchestra.<br />
In 2012, he received the Western Cape Government’s<br />
award for Outstanding Achievements by the Youth.<br />
