Rolled skills 3 (BU3, BU5 and BU6)

If any of these items are missing we will not be able to complete the assessment.
Scope
You will be asked to empty and clean 1 general waste bin containing light debris, remove
light soiling from 1 horizontal and 1 vertical area approx. 2m 2 each and vacuum clean an
area of floor 10m 2 (including a corner and edge).
Health & Safety Requirements
You will need the following documentation
to be present, up to date, and easily
accessible:
• Control of Substances Hazardous to
Health (COSHH) assessment and Safety
Data Sheets (SDS)
• Task Risk Assessment (RA)
• Method Statement (MS) or Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Manufacturer’s operating instructions
Equipment required for assessment
• Warning signs
• Appropriate personal protective
equipment (PPE), as specified by COSHH
assessment and/or task risk assessment
• Colour-coded appropriately labelled
spray bottle or hand bucket or access to
a sluice sink to clean the bins (dependant
on the level of soiling)
• Janitor’s trolley/waste collection trolley/
refuse bag (as applicable)
• Colour-coded cloths – cloths can be
traditional or microfibre
• Replacement bin liners
• Cleaning agent
• Measuring apparatus (if applicable)
• Non-abrasive pad
• Vacuum cleaner and attachments
• Circuit breaker (if applicable)
• Colour-coded dustpan and brush – litter
pickers are optional for large debris
• Refuse bag
