Empowerment Beats Anxiety
You think first, then you feel.Think of a tiny orange kitty. How are
you feeling? Most likely, you're grinning and experiencing
tenderness. Imagine a young child wailing alone in the street.
You're probably in a bad mood.
Why Is Anxiety
Triggered In Children?
Many different things, including
genetic predisposition,
environmental stressors, traumatic
experiences, family dynamics, and
learning patterns, can cause
anxiety in children..
Behavior And Feelings
Growing up may be a very difficult process. Childhood and
adolescence bring a continuous stream of new stimuli, including
shifting relationship dynamics, physical changes, and shifting
worldviews. Some kids may find it to be too much.
A child's brain is still developing, and they do not yet have the
cognitive abilities to deal with the outside world.
What Is Fear?.
Our fight or flight reaction can occasionally be triggered by stressful
events. Worry, fear, and trepidation may result from this. That's okay,
too.
Good fight-or-flight reactions frequently have a beginning and an
obvious conclusion. This is referred to as "positive stress". Positive stress
amplifies our reactions and encourages behaviour that is goal-oriented.
This may be useful in issue solving.
When the outcome of our fight-or-flight response is unclear, things
become challenging. As a result, worry may start to interfere with
regular activities including school, friendships, and eating habits.
Most Common Anxiety
Disorders in Children
One in eight children experience
anxiety disorders, making it one of the
most prevalent mental health issues
among children. These are some of the
most prevalent paediatric anxiety
disorders.
Disorder of Anxiety:
Children with generalised anxiety disorder may
worry and fret excessively about a variety of
things. The reaction is typically stronger than is
appropriate for the circumstance and the
sensation doesn't seem to have a clear source.
Possible signs and actions
to look out for include:
excessive concern about potential
events
worried about friends and hobbies
concern for safety
difficulty sleeping
refusing to spend the night away
from home
extreme tiredness
