Borosilikat HIGH TECH GLASS Vetro borosilicato - Introdotto per la prima volta nel 1887 dai tedeschi Il chimico Otto Schott ha realizzato un vetro resistente alle sostanze chimiche e alle alte temperature, utilizzato principalmente per la vetreria in laboratorio, nell‘ingegneria chimica ed in casa. La buona resistenza chimica all‘acqua e da molti prodotti chimici e farmaceutici (classe idrolitica 1) si spiega da sé, dal contenuto del bicchieri. L‘insensibilità agli sbalzi di temperatura è il risultato del basso coefficiente di dilatazione termica di circa 3,3 × 10-6 K-1.
