Puerto Rican visual artist ‘Michael Angelo<br />
Guadalupe’ is better known <strong>by</strong> his stage name,<br />
Mago. He was born <strong>in</strong> New York and, when still<br />
a little child, his family relocated to Puerto<br />
Rico. He specializes <strong>in</strong> employ<strong>in</strong>g artificial<br />
<strong>in</strong>telligence to produce stunn<strong>in</strong>g and dist<strong>in</strong>ctive<br />
graphics that narrate tales from old myths,<br />
religions, and histories.<br />
He was raised <strong>in</strong> hous<strong>in</strong>g complexes where he was<br />
always surrounded <strong>by</strong> <strong>in</strong>conveniences. Mago was<br />
taken away from his family when he was 7<br />
years old and placed <strong>in</strong> a foster home.<br />
He came across literature about tales<br />
and legends from the past dur<strong>in</strong>g this<br />
time, which would come to def<strong>in</strong>e<br />
his life and serve as the basis for his<br />
artistic creations.<br />
He relocated to Miami after<br />
graduat<strong>in</strong>g from high school,<br />
where he was exposed to music<br />
<strong>in</strong>dustry artists and art galleries.<br />
He relocated to Chile after be<strong>in</strong>g<br />
signed as an artist. The vastness<br />
of the Andes would capture his<br />
imag<strong>in</strong>ation and motivate him to<br />
build fantastical worlds and landscapes.<br />
“I aspire to create visual experiences<br />
that give the absurd world of artificial<br />
<strong>in</strong>telligence art human mean<strong>in</strong>g.” Says<br />
